I wouldn't get too tightly wrapped around the axial of paste suppliers recommendations of thermal recipes. Said another way, "Do not count on the solder paste representatives for good technical advice--they are the ones who came up with these "'TIME

Hi, it is a not given clear here. I will tell you some basics about the profiling: 1. Profile stages A. Preheat - the board preheats from room temp to 130-150C depending on the paste B. Soak - 150-170(or other range depending on the paste). here th

I'm fairly new to SMT, but highly experienced in other materials engineering areas. But have found the definitions/specifications for pastes to be both confusing and inadequate. I have often see graphical representations of the "desired" thermal pro

I know this response comes late, but my advice is to get your paste supplier in for some good profiling time before you decide how to do your own. My paste supplier will come in on a moments notice if I need them.

Hi Armando, I think you have to buy a bigger reflow let say 7 zones to get the correct profile. The reason you are getting that problem is due to short profile time. What is the size of your board? What is the composition of your solder paste? Ple

we encounter the same problem as you 3 years ago. but now we have implement to use KIC 24/7. you just need to take 1 time profile (for the base line profile), and then for the next time you run your product, it will take profile for each board you b
