Wayne, I'll look into it. Sounds like something is not setup quite right on our end. You should not have any errors in the email section. Thanks for the error notice, I'll get back to you in a few. Cliff | Cliff: | | It might be only me, but it

Posted wave solder paper to library and my 2 cents on intermetallics

Electronics Forum | Sun Jun 20 16:45:48 EDT 1999 | Chrys Shea

I dug through my big box of office crap and found the disk with my technical papers. I posted the one on process control in the SMTNet library. It covers a lot of ground on what causes defects in the wave (too much or too little of something), and

problem when testing the RF product

Do anyone have any experience on assembling high frequency product, 1.8GHz or 2.4GHz. In our production line, we manufacture 1.8GHz product with using no clean paste (RMA type) for reflow and no clean wire for rework. In our functinal test, either at

| Now don't everyone jump on this at once, but it seems time for me to send out copies of my not even close to being dated copy of an article about HASL. Though it was published in 1992, in Printed Circuit Fabrication Magazine, and it got rave review

Re: HASL - again?

What is the future of HASL with lead-free solders? I have grave misgivings as, even if it works properly (which I'm not too sure about), the alloy will have to match that used in the soldering process, or nearly so. No use using a Bi-containing HASL

Pre-baking derating

A user of one of our components exceeded the floor life of some plastic BGA components. They did do a pre-bake prior to SMT reflow but only 72 hrs at 40C and not the recommended 12 hours at 125C. I've recommended accoustic microscopy to look for popc
