Well assuming that the parts are genuinely damaged when rejected and you want to rework them to reduce scrap,you could use a shadow graph and get the mechanical spec on clear film.Then rework accordingly you should be able to rework most leads.

any of you guys got any ideas to clear up this stuff of the package surface?? I know this is just a cosmetic defect but one of our packages get splatters on the marking area so this is something I have to fix... inputs are very much welcome...

Thanks for the suggestions. I should have been more clear when I said "loose parts". Along with the truly loose parts I have many strips of 50 to 1000 on reels (not marked) and in bags (not marked). I guess if I cannot determine all of the tolerance

Huh?! The area of a square that fits in a circle is clearly less than the circle. Paste release is better in a circle than a square because the circle has maximum area per perimiter lenght.

Removing anodize can be done by just about anyone who does anodizing. Check your local metal finishing facilities and speak to someone who will guarantee no loss of material if that is what is important.
