Everyone is suspecting the epoxy. I'm just trying to understand why. Ryan stated he was having random chips falling off. If the epoxy or cure was the problem wouldn't he see the majority of the components falling off instead of just random?

Even a slight amount of epoxy will prevent a part from soldering. Look at the part after print. If you any trace of you epoxy between the pad and part, you have a potential problem.

Does anyone know of a vendor of "black top" to fill in voids left by laser "X-out" patterns in the top of an epoxy (plastic) package ? We are demarking an area of a device and would like to fill it in with something other than a colored epoxy. Reg
