Ideally, shelf life should be twelve months from application, but not all OSP's are the same so check manufacturer's instructions

IPC-4555 has not completed yet. According to IPC org, it will be complete in mid-2017. Is there another guideline about OSP finish surface? In fact, we assembled 50 pieces and no problem. But in solderability test we have problems in some features. D

do you see signs of contamination or oxidation? if not why not just send them to the board house and have another OSP coating layer applied?

What is the proper storage and shelf life after washing a PCB with an OSP finish? We sometimes have to pull the boards off the line and wash the solder paste off the boards.

The best shelf life for OSP is run both sides the same day they are opened for the first time. They are good for JIT but I didn't know that they were still good after washing.

OSP is there to keep the copper from oxidizing. Once you wash the board, the copper is exposed. So, you have to either use it right away, or store it in a non-oxygen environment (vacuum/nitrogen).
