I am using TopazX2, placing 0603 caps with #72 FNC nozzles. Sometimes, there is solder splash around the caps, being blowed out by the nozzle (?) when it placed the part down. Any idea about the reason and solution. Thanks.

"The machine blows a slight amount of air after placement and it is probably adjusted too high. " Is that adjustable and how to do it on TopazX2 Assembleon Pick and Place Machine?. Thank you very much.

What pattern programming utility do you have, or do you have one at all?

My point is that the only contributions I've ever seen you make on this site are to recommend that product, and you've done it quite regularly. It looks to me like trying to sell product is exACTly what you're doing.

I got mine from the Assembleon sales rep. It was free so I wonder if you contact Assembleon if they will send you a copy. They may only do it if you register your machine with them though and I don't know if there is acost associated with that.

Lock the pcb in the machine with the fixture. Teach origin 0 (O0,the datum origin or pcb origin). That's the only data you change.

Is the part height set correctly. Too high and it gets ped. Too low and it's jammed into the board. Both can cause poor placement. Jerry

Is the package too large for the nozzle? They can rotate (or just fly off) after centering if they're not stuck solidly to the nozzle when they're being rotated for orientation.
