I am not exactly sure what Universal equipment Grant thought looked "junky" but we are very happy with our Universal line. I cant say Im crazy about the looks of our Ultraflex printers, but they do work well. If you are doing high volume you should p

Running with sn100c in my solder pot!

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 23 10:48:44 EDT 2006 | Rob

Hi Paul, Can't find any info on Cobalt 995,but we do have experience of 99/0.7/0.3 +0.02% Cobalt wire - flows better than any leadfree wire we've come across & the cobalt is supposed to improve tip life. Bit smokey though, but with extraction that'

Grant, Haven't doen any work with the SN100C paste, the problem I guess is yoru subject to the suppliers flux base so if that is poor then the alloy may not perform as well as it could. We've found Avantec to be pretty good at SMT but have got SN100C

Problems with SN100C in a Soltec Delta C Wave

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 12 09:07:10 EDT 2006 | JimC

Flux: Getting enough- is the spray fluxer getting good through-hole penetration. Try cranking it up. Soltec spray fluxers are not really as good as Ultrasonic Systems or Sonotek ultrasonics or the new ServoJET, but should do the job. Also, try anothe

Hi, Your right guys, and we turned off the chip wave, and most of the problem went away. It looks much better, and we are getting a slight bridging on a USB connector at the front edge of the PCB and a little adhesion, but not any where as much as w

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 13 04:46:15 EDT 2006 | AR

Has anybody else noticed a problem with Assemblon's mechanical 12 mm feeders, with 4 mm pitch? We are experiencing grave pickup problems with a MELF diode packed this way and fed with this type of feeder. If I attach a hefty weight to the blister ta

MyData TM8FC magazines

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 15 06:40:12 EDT 2006 | CL

Good Morning Paul, We are using the linear magazines as well as the old style and are processing 0402 and 0201's. I do have to say that the Agilis magazines work much better for smaller parts. Just make sure that you have the correct size clip for t

Oop's Pb BGA's in a RoHS process?

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 20 11:31:15 EDT 2006 | muse95

This has been debated several times on this forum, but I have to say the opposite of Samir. I would rather see a SnPb BGA in a Pbfree process(as long as the component can take the heat) than a Pbfree BGA in a SnPb process. There has been some mention
