Pick and Place drops nozzles

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 27 12:50:59 EDT 2005 | mnguyen

You may want to look at which spindle that is dropping the nozzle and check the O-ring on the spindle head. It's probably bad, cracked, or broken. Replace it and that will fix it

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 03 07:41:46 EDT 2005 | davef

We'd guess that you want the ESD ground at the same point as the building ground for personnel safety reasons. Injured employees and OSHA inspector should be enough to convice the old timers [in most plants].

I would suggest 1) Use the profile that is suggested with the BGA types you are using or 2) Have you solder paste rep visit for a half day and help profile your machine. Remember if they want to keep you as a paste customer they will help. Enjoy,

Mosfet stencil design

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 19 11:21:50 EDT 2005 | russ

You may want to try reducing the large center aperture on your stencil to 50-70% of the area of the pad. This is what we do with QFNs and it may be applicable in this case also.
