Stencil Bleed - Bridges and Solder Balls

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 14 13:08:00 EDT 2023 | dimamalin

Similar issues arose for me in cases where the contact pads of components were located below the solder mask level. Ordering a thinner stencil might potentially solve the problem.

Which UIC pick and place machine

We found the maintenance & general run costs of UIC compared to panasonic to be on the level of we could buy another base panasonic machine. I am talking high volume going thru ours though so could be a factor.

Re: Ionic testing and No-Clean flux

Casimir: Let me expand on something that I said in my response to your thread on ionic testing. Generally, no-clean people dont use ROSE testing as part of their process control, because the ROSE test is essentially washing your board in DI/IPA

Victor, here are a few more elements of information to answer your question. Both the temperature and relative humidity on the manufacturing floor have a significant impact relative to the rate of diffusion of moisture inside a plastic package and t

Omegameter 500 information and possible replacement (ROSE Testing)

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 02 11:11:11 EDT 2017 | jsmith145

Does anybody have any information regarding an Omegameter 500 (Kenco Industries)? We’ve run 4000+ tests with this machine and all have produced a pass result without a single failure, starting to wonder if tests aren’t accurately assessing PCB cleanl

CGA devices - placement and vision

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 27 12:43:43 EST 2001 | gsmguru

I've used an on-axis camera lighting for other components with a good deal of success. (But not for CGA's in particular) I would think it should work pretty well for a CGA application. I've done some pretty odd looking parts with this type of lightin

Pb alloy reflow temperatures and component integrity

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 22 14:59:55 EDT 2000 | Mike Naddra

What does the reflow profile look like , the question I had was surrounding the higher reflow temperature and the max temperature that lowest thermal mass components will see. Some other questions that I had were surrounding the components , what of

Casimir This is not an easy subject. How did you process the test pieces? Was the flux used correctly at the required and recommended level? Did it see the wave properly? I am not an advocate of no-clean but we do have customers who coat over no-cl

Re: No clean and f devices

Hi Jeff Actually it's not necessarily Signal to Noise Ratio or even RF circuitry. All no cleans leave behind residue by description. This residue can affect RF or other high frequency circuits in a number of different ways including SNR. Very high
