Ok I can get into the service program - under Motors there is only a single X motor listed. And what test can you do - seems that I can only display ranges and settings? No test as such?

One thing a lot of people don't know is that the small X motor on MY machines have carbon brushes in them. If you do not replace the brushes before they wear out it trashes the motor.

hello, Does anyone know about the error F-MOT-MOVE X/245 Motor drive inhibited. The machine hardware initiation ready and approximately an hour later, you will see an error. Thanks

I'm surprised MyData is pushing the service call. They're usually pretty good at walking you through some troubleshooting steps before going straight to the service call. So, the failure sounds like an encoder failure; the encoders are attached to

Hi, Rebecca, Hmm...two x motors? I'm a couple of years removed from MyData's, but, I don't remember two x-motors. Might be something in the My12's that I didn't see in my older My9 (and certainly not in my TP9). As to the small board...unfortun

We recently scrapped our TP9-2U because of an issue similar to this. The X-axis would overshoot the pick and place positions. This particular machine(2U)only has 1 X motor. The UFP's and the MY machines have a small fine positioning motor that is on

You should be able to see the counts in the service screen for the motors while testing them...that's usually the easiest way to see if they're functioning...at least the encoders. In some of the older systems, the drive motors were all the same, an

My focus has moved to the X motor itself. The one common factor in this paricular problem has been the time of year. The day was a particularly hot day with high humidity. Even though there is a "Xfan" connection on the PIAB board I do not believe th

It could very well be the Safety Relay located inside the ELMO PSU (Bottom left in computer cabinet). I just had the same problems on 2 MY9's within 2 months apart. the Part cost around $700.00 from Mydata (Now Mycronic). These fail commonly with old
