Is there anyone out there using Zestron Vigon SC200 stencil cleaning solution? We were told that it can be used to clean SMT adhesive, water soluble, and no clean paste flux. Can anyone tell me anything about this stuff ?

I've found that Zestron HC works very well for breaking down all SMT adhesives. That's what our machine manf. recommends.

In order of effectiveness / accurate reading: 1. Hi-Temp Soldering 2. ECD's Temprobe or new Flexiprobe http://www.ecd.com 3. Glue, such as SMT adhesive 4. Aluminum tape Capton tape should not be used as it expands at reflow temps.

Steve, We use Heraeus PD 945 and clean with Electrolube SSS. It gives us a good result with both hand and ultrasonic cleaning. Also does a good job on solder paste.

I use loctite 3616 chipbonder for stencil printing and have good results. If using with a shot meter Loctite 3621 has also produced good results.

Another possibility could be the moisture monster. SMT adhesives are extremely hydroscopic. Was it one syringe in particular or your entire lot going haywire? Are you in a humid area? EG if you're manufacturing in AZ you may not need to worry abo
