We conduct temperature stress test (-40 to +100C)on our products which sits on our expensive test board. This stress test on our product shorten the life span of the test board due to the extreme temperature change. I have tried epoxy coating on the

I agree with Dave 100%, ATC will expose the board and components weaknesses and potential design problems and/or the need for conformal coating. The life span can only be predicted and/or extended by well-documented field failure analyses history and

Anyone out there in the Cyber SMT world have success/experience utilizing conductive adhesives as a substitute for typical eutectic alloys? Application is for a Single sided SMT Process. With a reliability life span of 8 hours. Forum feedback could

Hi, How can the life of the stencil be decided? As the stencil is used contineously the thickness go on decreasing. How are you all deciding the life of stencil? As visually its dificult to deide the solder paste deposited thickness, is there any t

Thanks dude. It's a bit tough, but I guess so long as it's well thought out, it's like anything else. I shoot for a 60% coverage, pre reflow, with the vias either filled with epoxy, or capped with mask, at least if the plan is to use the thermal pad

hi everyone, I just got some question with regards to the life span of components from the date it was packed from supplier. Does the parts more than 2 years from the date it was process by supplier: 1. Can it still be used in PCBA?? 2. will it not

What your asking has many variables. 1. Material: SS vs. Cast Iron. Iron is thicker. Which SS? 316, 316L 2. Pump speeds, turbulence, hours of operation directly affect equipment life. 3. Things like scraping the pots, the tunnels, impelle

Squeegee Material will effect stencil life too. Stainless Steel Blades are tough on the Stainless Steel Stencils. Look into Permalex (they are a type of metal with a special coating) blades. Good Luck

I believe that the reason Dover did not sell Dek is not so much based on its actual profitability but because the profits it does make are stable. I think Dek makes about 60% or its revenue on stencils and other consumables that are still in demand r

Yes, I am currently using Viromet 347 at the moment for my SMT lines. 100-150, 35 sec 150-207, 40 sec 207-above, 80 sec peak temp: 225 deg C. It is compatible to SAC paste in term of solderability and wettability. But in term of mechanical property (
