We are very concerned about outgassing in wavesoldering. If anyone knows how to use properly well pcb's before soldering in order to avoid this problem please let me know. I have this problem in FR4 large double sided pcb's. My soldering line is SOLT

Dear all: We had a severe curvature in our boards after wave soldering.Could a second pass in the wavesolder m/c reduce this curvature. If not then what do you recommend to solve this problem. Also how it can be avoided. Best Regards Hany

Thanks Scott: The Assembley is Mixid ( reflow then wavesoldered). It is One curcuit. Is the Tg averagely known for FR4 PCB assemblies? Hany

What is the most effecient form of heating ,ie calrod, IR, convection , or a mixture ? to produce a good thermal profile on a wavesoldering system on thermally challenging multi-layered boards? Thanks Adam

Thx, L, but we are looking for a permanent staff member here at our facility to optimize first our wavesolder, then other areas of our processes. Things are running well as they are today; we are simply looking to improve.

Understood, BT. We're looking for both -- the analytical mind and educational training of the degreed engineer AND the experience in wavesolder. If it was an easy match to find, I wouldn't be bothering you great guys!!! :)

I did not tried this before (never hada chance to do it) but I considered such option - maybe try using temporary wavesolder mask on such small components. Run both sides of PCB through SMT oven and then mask 0402 completely and go with wavesoldering
