Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 31 04:39:56 EST 2005 | zsolt

Hello All, we have 2 CP842 on site and they are running simply perfect. We used our existing CP feeders (with the small reel holder). CP843 can compensate pick-up both in X and Y direction. also measuring the height of the part with a laser sensor.

Fuji CP6 Feeder Problems

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 24 20:14:52 EDT 2004 | Alan

I know your frustration. CP6 feeders are notorious for this issue. They have always been an issue. You have probably went through the "change spring, change tape leaf, change component reel, place peeler tape over two rollers instead of three" scenar

Where Is That #2%&*** Reel????

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 24 09:39:03 EDT 2004 | V

I feel your pain as well. Our purchasing group minimizes the amount of material in inventory so of course they bring in only what is absolutely needed. When they see 10,000 components in house they just don't understand that the part may be used on

Where Is That #2%&*** Reel????

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 24 12:36:45 EDT 2004 | Cal

Hey Dave I deal with this every day. UGH!!!! We created a Bin location for each of our pick-and-place machines. Once the parts are moved from stock the computer will be updated as SMT 01xxx, SMT 02, and SMT 03 Bin location for that part. SMT01-03 are

Alternative to Stick Feeder and Vibratory for SOIC-8

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 11 18:59:21 EST 2005 | primus

We have been using Tape and Reel on our GSM for the SOIC-8 packages for a while, and it's working pretty well. Less operator error, less reloads, less jams (provided you take good care of the feeders) and LESS TUBES STUCK IN MY VCD SEQUENCER!!! I hav

QFN Packages

Would these be the parts that have just pads located on the bottom of the part? If so, we place these every day in decent volumes and have never had any manufacturing problems with them. I cannot comment on the reliability since we are a contract M

Missing components in Reel

Electronics Forum | Fri Mar 11 11:40:23 EST 2005 | JB

If there is an empty pocket at the pick up position, because a component "fell off" then the pick and place machine will attempt to pick up more components from the same feeder an "x" amount of times, depending on your component parameters, then it w
