The centering jaws are made out of copper, I believe...and conductive. I'd suggest that the conductivity of the copper makes it a fairly poor source of ESD damage in a component. I have observed physical damage to components from the centering jaws

Dear SMTNetters I have a fairly large pile of different size ESD part trays that we collect over time from clients. The jobs have long since come and gone. Does anyone have any ideas on who to trade/barter with to get them out of our plant? Regar

It will be tough to find a dimensional thickness specification for HASL. IPC-6012 Table 3-2, line "Fused tin-lead or solder coat - Coverage and Solderable" states the requirement that there has to be complete coverage of solder on the land, and it mu

OA pastes are more hydroscopic than NC pastes. Hydroscopic. The capacity of a material to absorb and retain moisture from the ambient air. Sometimes this is compounded if you remove paste from the frig and let it warm to room temperature, because

I'd don't believe that the reels need to be ESD protective material. The carrier and cover tape have resistivity and materials specifications. Start with EIA-481. In past threads on SMTnet, we have discussed problems in picking components that wer

Hi, I guess you a looking for a manual x-y table with a vacuum pick up such as SMT6000 from OK industries. I presume these are still being made-- We use one successfully at the end of a Mydata machine to place low volume components which we cannot j
