Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 24 04:38:31 EDT 1999 | Vinesh Gandhi

Recently, there has been an upsurge in the Pin Hole/Blow Hole problem in our wave soldering process. We are baking the PCBs for 2 Hrs. at 125 degree C. The Wave Soldering profile seems to be O.K. Still the problem is persistent. Can somebody help

Re: resistor and capacitor naming codes for smt.

The majority of SMT resistors use the following notation. 10 X eg 153 represents 1k5 resistor The third digit in the sequence denotes the number of zeros to add after the first two digits giving the value in ohms. Many Caps will follow the same nota

Comparison of models: Philips CSM 84, 84V and 84 VZ

There was a great list on here a year or so ago with all the Philips and Yamaha #'s and what they meant so do a search on it. The VZ had programmable placement height I recall. If your in the US I know a CM that I think still has one in good shape wi

cost analysis: Manual vs. Auto insertion pick and place

We currently have RMA and WS soldering processes here and do batch cleaning for both. We are experiencing some capacity issues and are interested in looking at an IN-LINE aqueous wash. My experience with in-line wash is only with WS. 1. Since RMAs
