Anyone using selective soldering pallets to run boards with previously reflowed bottom side SMT through the wave? Any comments, pro or con? Seems like a reasonable approach for someone that doesn't want to install a dispenser.

I have been tasked with creating an operating procedure for SMT and Wave pallet maintenance. Wash how, wash how often, PM schedule, etc. Was wondering if anyone might have a procedure in place they could share. Thanks much for any help. Roger

I had pallets made from Stone Mountain Tool, who are using a similar material. http://www.stonemountaintool.com

If you go to AGI's website, http://www.autogroup.com, go to products, wave pallets and materials used. You can view durastone propoerties and buy raw material from them. Let me know if you have any questions, Todd Gilmore President AGI

Hi Folks, My Production runs a uBGA-liken product, and uses Pallets to support the 0.8mm thick pcb, during the SMT + reflow oven process. Process/QA see occurs: 1) 0402 unsolder? 2) 0402 tombstone? 3) "uBGA" poor-visual joints (dry joints)? Took

I have a PCB that requires me to use a pallet for support. I was wondering if anyone out there is currently doing this. My biggest concern is screen printing. I think I know how to handle it - but just want to know about any pitfalls.

Continuing, many soldering pallet manufacturers make pallets with pockets to support bottom-side components during second side processing. Good luck Dave F

I realize it's been discussed many times before. I need to know your opinions, experience, and knowledge concerning "today's"/latest and best pallet designs, suppliers, and methods for using them more effectively. Thanks much, Earl Moon
