SMT equipment is half of the investment. The other half is the test equipment. The popular choice for test equipment are either R&S CMU or Agilent. For GSM/GPRS, it's about US50K per piece.

I have had the same problem with this supplier, we found that one mfg. place or process used a .015" piece of FR4 as the base while others had .030" Fr4, We discontinued use of the .015" and never had a problem again.

They are a CP40 and CP50. The CP40 is fairly new and the 50 is fairly new but we bought it as a used piece. It is in good condition. As far as I can say everything seems set up correctly. By the sounds of your reply I should dig into this more deeply

Is anyone else picturing a Homer Simpson lookalike in a lycra one-piece with WML emblazoned on it? I wonder if controlling the cool down after the wave would help avoid this - it's something everyone does after reflow for joint formation, I've just

Beyond Convention Routing?

Hi Mike, What piece of equipment do you use? I've never heard of using a water jet to route PC boards before, but would like to do some investigating before I buy another traditional router. And why only high volumes?
