We had a problem with conformal coating getting under an IC and with Temp. and vibration would cause cracking of the solder bump, underfill solved the problem.

Dear sir, Do you have experiment about the temperature cycling and vibration test for reliability testing of surface mount solder attachment. If yes, please give me the soft file sample of parameter setting and testing report.. Thank you very mu

Does anyone know the name of a smalll handheld device that cleans stencils? One looks like a palm sander and it vibrates the paste out of apertures. Thanks, Johnny Smith

Hi Another add, This depends on your application environment. If you have levels of shock and vibration or high thermals underfill is needed. YiE, MA/NY DDave

Hi, Would it be likely that the component carrier you re using is too large for the component with the result that the vibration during feeder indexing is overturning the component ? comments

Hi, Have you tried increasing the vibration at the main wave or using a chip wave? try increasing the temperature of the solder by about 10 Deg C.

That was the method we were going to try. We have the circuitry from a sifter we make. The sifter works with a regular speaker but I could not find one working at a high enough temp for an oven. Then I lost interest or got busy.

??? Two assemblies assembled under the same conditions with identical x-ray results can have dramatically different life expectencies. Operating environments will have a direct affect on the product ie. hunidity, temperature swing, temp. duration, v

I have seen stepper motors chatter or vibrate when it has lost one of its phases. You've replaced everything but the cable so I think you are right that it should be checked for an intermittent connection.

From what I remember there is a "snap off" setting in the AP25, where you can set the separation speed & I think it may also vibrate the board a little.
