Hi, We are looking for some measuring machines to evaluate the ability of a SMT placement machine to produce quality. We will mount some dummy components on a glass plate and then insert the assembly into the measuring system which can measure the

We currently use the Mitutoyo vision measuring machine Model #qv202-pr05f. We use it as a tool for measuring placement accuracy on both our chipshooters and glue machines. It also has the ability to check the glue dots for accurate sizing. As far as

I have a interesting problem. I have a client that would like us to build 15-20 prototypes of a fairly complex design that contains a Enplas OTB-289-0.8 BGA socket. The problem I have is the customer does not have enough sockets and is asking if we

Don't forget placement. I"ve seen chips broken when they are being placed because they were thicker than the parts data used for them. This is not an issue on Panasonic machines because they measure the thickness of parts but I have seen it happen

Hello Joseph, I'll be honest, I'm finding it a bit difficult to understand and visualize the complete scenario. If this component is designed for surface mount placement into a slot on a PCB, then why does it even need support from the bottom side? I

Here is what I have been finding lately. We switched to a 22mil square pad on 40 mil centers (from the IPC "75/25"). ALL OF OUR TOMBSTONES HAVE GONE AWAY! (at least for now) we did not change profiles, paste, or any other parameter. Obviously placem

Coincidence? I just finished a glass calibration this morning on a P&P machine. Excellent tool for precision calibration. Takes the guess work out of the process. I would disagree with Cal's assessment. His calibration methods may work to suit h

hi Liang, We had the same problem like you before, it happened during starts up the machine (S13) and run the production for the first or second board. We also replaced the 2/2-way microvalve of placement circuit. The problem had solved at the begini

GerberGrab does exactly this, and it's low cost, and you can use it for a month for free. It is a sophisticated but easy to use reverse engineering tool which will automatically generate top / bottom BOMs with placement and rotation after teaching of
