hi,

i'd like to know how do you maintain cleaness of your solder frames after production - we use both SnPb and leadfree process, we clean in alcohol and ultrasonic but the frames look white and i wonder if we do not damage the structure???

best regards

Is the frame turning white or is it the flux residue? What kind of flux, WS or NC?

Most Durastone product have a very low moisture absorbtion rate. This makes it ideal to water wash them. I wouldn't tlet them soak in the water, but you shoul dbe safe to wash them usinf water. Once the water is used up, you should treat it as a hazard since it will contain flux and metal from your wave(s).

white residues but on top & bottom, flux is NC 94-rxzm from Cobar

Wash them in Saponifier frequently at around 40C rinse and dry thoroughly. I would imagine it could be going white if you have a resin system in the flux that is not water soluble. Ensure you are using suitable pallet material up to 300C for Lead Free or they will begin delamination and smoke and leave brown gunge in the solder wave causing the solder to go silvery spongy and dross rapidly. Cheers

I must improve rinsing for sure (no filtering of the water)

but also a question - where do You buy/produce frames/carriers for both SnPb and LF wave processes we have just one supplier in France, we tried local ones but they lacked in precision...
