I know the approximate shelf life for good and OK storage of ENIG and Ag boards but I do not know what these times are like for HASL. Can anyone help me out here. Thanks.

Hi Ryan,

Standard shelf life for FR4 Non-RoHs & Rohs material with HASL or Lead Free HASL would be 12 months + in a controlled environment.

on all RoHs materials over 6 months, we would suggest your board shop run a solder ability test before shipping and would also suggest baking product prior to assembling to bake out any residual Moisture.

We also recommend that your board house place a descant pad and a Hic (humidity index card) card in to the vacuum sealed package of boards to help control and monitor moisture in packaging.
