It's hard to say. My guess is it's a cap or inductor. Have you tried measuring it? Is it me, or does this part appear to have a transparent package? It could be the flux I'm seeing.

Hi Martin,

Just wondering do you wish to test the component? I and my company may identify what is the foreign contaminants of it. Most probably is the flux deposits though.

Anything you want to inspect you might get to me at +65 94870818.

I am wondering if it might be a fuse of some kind. We have some that are green, but have a similar pattern inside. It could also be upside down, so try taking it off and looking at the other side.

I'm not positive, but it looks like it could be a multilayer chip capacitor with the end metalization on the long side.

They do exist: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/AVX/0612YC105KAT2A/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMukHu%252bjC5l7YbS7Gp8EQB5AtLAgTHK6PsA%3d
