Who do you all use for your transformer needs? Some parts may be COTS, but for the most part custom winding would be needed. High voltage, low current AC primarily, but some DC as well. Quantities sub 1000, but with long-term agreements.

Any recommendations? Any to avoid?

How high a voltage are we talking , 240 volts, 4000 volts , 26000, volts 60,000 volts, 240 volts is easily done as we go up the scale insulation becomes a bigger problem and winding machines have to be much better in control of tension, also at higher voltage vacuum assisted dipping in an insulation material becomes necessary. There may still be companies that wind high voltage, that is 26,000 voltage for TV HT generation, or they may all be gone. Leaving you with the option of having to do it yourself.

Anyway give us a more precise question and maybe more help will spring to hand.

Sarason,

Apologies for the absence of information. I initially had this information, but must have somehow inadvertently deleted it.

The voltages will be between 40 and 600 volts AC, and the typical 12v DC.

Thank you
