GSM Discrete I/O Address List | 17 January, 2016

I'm trying to configure the nozzle changers on my GSM1 machine because they were not configured when I bought it. I've figured out most of the setup with the UPS documentation, but I don't know what the I/O addresses are for the changers.

Does anyone know where in the UIC documentation I can find an I/O address map for the discrete I/O? I've searched through the UIC KB and documentation but I haven't found anything on it yet. I appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

Here you are. If you need something else, PM me. I've brought to life all of our 4 GSM's...

Oh - just realized, this forum allows pic's only, so rename the file to 44936601.pdf after download...

No problem. However, I am not sure why do you need I/O addresses? Normally you just select changers from a drop-down list...Which USOS version is your machine running on?

Hi Deni,

The changers were not mounted in the UPS software; I suspect the previous owners did not use the changers in the machine at all and just kept the same nozzles in the head at all times. It was owned by TI so I think they just did one process with it.

In machine setup under changers, I tried using the "defaults" but this is address 1045H for mod1/2 locations. Had to change it to 1047H for mod3/4 location. Just tried it and I got the changers to operate manually and the machine zeros now with the changers mounted. When I had mounted the changers without I/O configured it would not zero presumably because it was not recieving the changer-down signals.

The machine is running UPS 3.2.2c on OS/2 2.1.
