Hi smtnet forum. I've made this thread, cause I'm struggling with programming old Topaz and Emerald machines.
So, I'm here to ask you, do you have any idea how to write VIOS program offline for Phllips SMT machines using computer only? At this moment, what i'm actually doing is I'm standing behind the machine and I'm typing literally EVERYTHING manually. Including adding part numbers of the components, XY coordinates, signatures ect. It really drives me mad, cause whole process is very tireing and it's easy to do a mistake. Untill now, we had only board which were not very complicated with only 40 - 70 components, but now I got to implement project with two layers and roughly 700 components (sic!) It's can't be done manully this time or I would spend month programming this... The files we use at my company is gerber. I'd like to convert it into VIOS file or anything that can be recognized by Topaz/Emerald. It's even possible? I was searching this site for whole day, and I didn't find much unfortunately, only some outdated informations. Any help will be much appriciated.
