Hi, does anyone know which documentation regarding to lead free solder paste is needed to demostrate that the smt assembly process is RoHS compliant? Is it enough to show the datasheet of the solder paste used?

The Datasheet should be sufficient to show that the past is RoHS complaint.

If you're trying to satisfy a quality auditor that doesn't really understand PCB assembly, you could try requesting a statement letter from the past manufacturer stating that the paste is RoHS compliant. Auditors like official looking letters.

At the same time ask for the technical data sheet and the Safety Data Sheet.

You don't know what other auditors you may have to deal with in the future.

And someone should have all the SDS's in a binder for all the chemicals that you use.
