Looking for X-ray component counter | 15 October, 2021

Does anyone have experience with DAGE Assure, Hawkeye 1000, XRHCount or similar X-ray component counters? I myself have no experience with any X-ray equipment so any kind of feedback is important.

Hi. Personally do not have experience with this but we are reviewing the purchase of an X-ray system for our line. A tier 1 vendor we have worked with is Seamark that is a popular name in Asia.

They offer some X-Ray equipment including a counter that may be practical for your consideration.

I am interested in personal experiences, not sales contacts.

We recently purchased a Scienscope AXC-800 III which can count 4 7" reels at one time in seconds. It can count tubes, trays and bulk as long as keep the components down to 1 layer (which for bulk is not ideal). so far we are very happy with, cuts daily cycle count times from hours to minutes.

I brought all the major players machines in house and tried them.

VisiConsult was the best hands down. Extremely simple GUI..no adjusting to get correct counts. The counting cloud feature is also a very slick tool.

Support is 5 star.

VJ Electronix has some great counters and the pricing is competitive. There's great info and datasheets here.

Hi,

we have a DAGE Assure machine, and we are happy with the results it gives us. Even without proper teaching the results were good (for common part sizes). *With* proper teaching results are even better. Only in certain cases results are unusable, but in this case the machine is not to blame for. E.g., counting metal shields (iron sheet) on reels, the resulting image (from X-ray) gives the image-processor a hard time. It mostly fails with this parts.

Thank you for your great feedback! Yesterday we watched an online demo of the DAGE Assure and the software seemed to work well.
