Hi all, Please let me know, AOI false call ppm are calculating by number of parts or number of windows used in the program.

Hi,

Do you mean how it is generally calculated or how it calculates your AOI?

Generally I would say you calculate it by the parts. Parts Per Million: Number of defective parts per million inspected parts.

For the windows or test options, you would then use DPMO > Defets per million opportunities: Number of defects per million inspection opportunities.

It is best to ask your manufacturer how your machine calculates it. We use the defective parts to calculate the PPM.

Thanks for the update. We are using MIRTEC AOI. The machine will give false call PPM in both PPM and DPMO.

Kindly suggest which one need to use
