I have an se500 ultra cyberoptics spi that is configured for right to left. I'd like to swap it to left to right. I'm unsure how to do so. One manual I've found says to run the configuration program then calibrate, which I can't do as don't have a cal kit. The other says to change a registry value then reinstall the software, which I tried and it didn't work. Can I calibrate with any board or if there another way to switch direction?

Depends on your software level or age. There is a software option to just change this on the newer stuff.

Do you have any older cyber optics kit - you can use the older cal kits for other cyber machines - if you have them of course.

I originally assumed the rail calibration required a cal kit but you can use any board. So I can calibrate when I have it set to right to left and everything works correctly. If I change it to left to right by running the settings program, then attempt to inspect a board to run the calibration it says that that it attempted to preform an invalid move, as it tries to move the head to a negative location. In obviously missing a step like I need to set an offset somewhere.

I'm currently just running the machine backwards which is a little annoying as the screen is on the other side to the printer and I have to rotate the files. My board width for the whole line is fixed.
