| | | | | | | | IF anyone is placing 0402's with the Mydata tp-18 I would like to here how reliable it is(with these little buggers). | | | | | | | | | Thanks | | | | | | MD Cox | | | | | I've been placing them with a TP9-2U. You need to buy a new tip and a new feeder to accept taped components (unless you use a tray). You'll need to fiddle with the physical parameters so you get a "good" test but they still tend to get "lost". I've instructed my inspectors to double check all 0402's and I also try and do a check prior to unloading the board. | | | | A bit of a hastle but what isn't with these critters, | | Scott | | | Hello, | I have 2 tp9ufp that i run 0402's on, short quantities thank goodness, you need the c14 tool make sure the tip is in good condition. i dont use any mechanical centering so the feeder trim is critical, if you dont have the tm8fc mag for 0402's use 2 steps on the standard feeders, yes you will lose every other 0402 so make sure your inventory is at least doubled. Operators will need to keep a close eye on each pcb, the boards i run have about 100 0402 per side and if im only missing 1-5 per im content. Good luck and if you would like me to give you package info let me know. | wayne@distron.com | Wayne: Unarchive this trick our ol' bud Stephan proposed:
