Heller Reflow Oven Fan Noise

Heller Reflow Oven Fan Noise | 9 December, 2024

We acquired a Heller 1809 MKIII and the fan on the bottom side of zone one makes a high pitched hum while the oven is at room temp. Once the oven starts to heat up, the noise goes away.

The bearings were in bad shape, so we replaced those but it didn't fix the problem.

We have found that if we lower the fan slightly, the noise goes away too but cant find anything that is interfering with the fan.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I would contact Heller on the same. Their support has been pretty good when we ran into some rough patches on getting our new but idle oven operational. Running well now. From your details, perhaps the noisy blower motor needs to be replaced? Varying with the warranty of this machine, the blower motor may be covered by a lifetime warranty. Not sure if the warranty is with the machine or only to the original owner of the oven. Regardless, you should be able to disconnect this blower motor to test if it is the source of the noise or not. No harm if using the 'Wake up profile' which does not activate the heaters.
