Royalty rates and copyright protection | 30 October, 2000

Can anyone tell me how to find information on the protectability of circuit board technology copy rights and what types of royalty rates can be expected. Is there some forum that specifically addresses these issues. Thanks for any info.

Agreed. However, this is for a research paper that my boss may turn into a presentation designed to be given to accountant types. As such, I'm looking for an average hypothetical example. I know that conditions may vary with circumstances, but I've seen rules of thumb out there applied to other products, so I'm hoping to get an idea of one here. It will be taken with a grain of salt. I'd appreciate any info.
