Yo! Who's got a decent used Airvac/Solder fountain for sale? | 18 August, 1998

Hey there ya'll!! I went and looked at the used equipment page here, and I've also looked around at a few other sites to try and find me a used PTH dynamic solder pot...like a Airvac type of unit. It doesn't have to be as fancy as a Airvac, just something we can use to rework the high-lead count PTH stuff (like PGA devices), and for soldering connectors and the like when that's the only PTH on the board. I got my equipment wanted ad posted, but I thought I'd just come out and ask ya'll. Ideally, I'd like to find something between $2,000 - $4,000, has an assortment of nozzles (but doesn't really have to), has the manuals, and not on it's last legs. I'd also like to get a 30-day warranty, or something to the effect that after I recieve it, I have 30-days to make sure it's gonna last for a while. Practically all the used stuff I've bought in the past, I've had a chance to look at before I bought it, I may not have that chance here. I'm just trying to cover my butt and not let somebody dump something on me. T.I.A. -Steve Gregory-

Steve Not too sure how much help this would be, but you might want to check with Exselect Engineering about solder pots. You might find what you need, new and at a very good price. Will send you an email with additional used equipment locations.

Steve, Ok Indust. made a solder fountiain ( SA-5201) that we use for the situation you describe. I was told that OK no longer make it, but you might check and see if this is true. It listed at about $3,500. I also saw that BONKOTE make a similiar fountain. I saw it listed in EMF's catalog.
