SPM is superior in terms of technology and application. SPM has larger print area, up to 20 x 19", vs. 17.7 x 15.7 for the MicroFlex. MicroFlex is microprocessor controlled while the SPM has a PC. SPM can print down to 12mil (0.3mm) fine pitch no sweat, MicroFlex is spec'd at 20mil (0.5mm) but should do 16mil(0.4mm)with a good stencil and board design. Alignment repeatability: +/-0.004" at 6 Sigma for the MicroFlex and +/-0.0005" at 6 Sigma for the SPM. Also, SPM has a greater snap-off range adjustment as well, 0 - 0.3" vs. 0 - 0.1" for the MF. The SPM and MicroFlex use the same camera holders/positioning mechanism. The MicroFlex may be a better fit if large board size and ultra-fine pitch will not be your application. There is a rather significant difference in price. Wiper is a good option if you are doing a lot of fine-pitch. I believe wiper option is wet/dry. For wet, you can set it to apply a solvent to the paper to loosen paste from the stencil apertures. Then you follow with a dry wipe. You can set it for wet then dry or dry wipe only. Vision alignment is a good option too. Good luck.
