My company manufactures electronic modules for the automotive industry. We have a current product that the customer would like a "heavy duty" version of. The module will have to handle roughly twice as much power as the original. A couple of components in the new design will generate a lot of heat. We would like to avoid adding "extra" labor and materials to the process (heat sinks). I ran across a pcb supplier that advertised a thermally conductive pcb material capable of being used for double sided boards. Does anyone have any information/experience with this sort of problem? Are these materials commonplace, or did I misunderstand the advertisement? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
John S.
