Dear All,
i am currently trying to qualify my Parylene Conformal Coating process and is trying to conduct: 1) IPC-TM-650 Method 2.6.3.4 (Moisture and Insulation Resistance – Conformal Coating) and 2)IPC-TM-650 Method 2.5.7.1 Tests (Dielectric Withstanding Voltage – Polymeric Conformal Coating) tests for my product.
However, there is no pass/fail criterion stated in these 2 standard tests but these 2 tests are essential as called for by IPC-CC-830. Hence, i will like to find out whether anyone had conduct these tests before using IPC-B-25A board and can answer my enquires:
1) Do anyone have a guide of the pass/fail criterion for the IR measurement if i am using parylene to coat the IPC-B-25A board? I had check the Mil-I-46058 test standard which had a pass/fail criterion of > 1 x 10^10 ohm. Can i use the same specs?
2) Similarly, do anyone have a guide of the pass/fail criterion for the DWV measurement for parylene on IPC-B-25A board? I had check the Mil-I-46058 test standard which had a pass/fail criterion of < 10uA. Hence will like to check if i can use the same specs.
Will greatly appreciate if anyone can answer my enquires. Thank you.
