| | | | Hey all, | | | | Just got a new PC whiz bang everything but the kitchen sink, and my Quad Gui software can't run on it. I keep getting insufficient memery errors. Any Windows gurus out there who can help? I can't figure out how to allocate the memory to make it run. I have the latest version of the GUI, WIn 98, Pentium 450Mhz, and 64Mb of Ram( I know, lucky me...). Now I can't understand what else I need to make this thing go. And yes, I did run the make compatible routine so it would work with the latest version of Windows. | | | | | | | | I need help or else its back to the P100 system I was using(which someone else has already absconded with)..... | | | | | | | | Thanks, | | | | Wendy | | | | | | | I am Checking into it, however have you attempted to contact Quad for assistance? It might be your shortest point to sucess, hopefully. | | | | | | Will keep you posted as I gather the information. | | | | | | Good luck in the meantime. | | | | | | The Guc | | | | Wendy, | | | | I dont care what version of the QUAD GUI software you have. But I do know that there are bugs in almost everything Quad puts out, I'm about 5/5 in quad equipment installs. To be more specific and to prove a point, go back to your p100 sys and put the new software on it and I bet it wont work. For now try this On your new system, treat it like your starting from scratch. and not where you left of on the p100 sys., do contact quad. | | | | Dave | | | | | | | | I don't get it and I've no business being here, but damn how long will this story continue? How hard can it be for a company to get it right, once, or get out of the game? | | MoonMan | Moon Man,
You're right however, it apperas that they (Quad) have a new game. Will it make it? Same story different paltform. I have seen the collection and I don't belive it will put them in the game again, if it does, same outcome. However, they say the 3rd time is a charm. Wendy, move on I hear that trade-ins are a common path out, give it a try.
