Good Morning, I am looking for an alternatve to the traditional press in low profile sockets, aka Augat Holetites. I am looking into Mill-Max parts. any suggestions? They are used on the backplanes we build. Thanks, Wendy

| Good Morning, | I am looking for an alternatve to the traditional press in low profile sockets, aka Augat Holetites. I am looking into Mill-Max parts. any suggestions? How ever I can't say they where the cheapest parts I have ever bought, but knowing that they have good quality was really important. They have a no return policy on that item witch they did not impose when I found that the part wasn't fitting right in the board. This really scared me cause it was my fault but they sent me new parts and we went on with the show. I found them to be helpful in evry way. If you need there full catalogue then call them at 516-922-6000. They give plenty of samples to work with as well. P.S. EPT makes alot of connectors but I am not sur if they are what you are looking for. The web address is www.ept.de I hope that's of some help......Jeff

Wendy, We are preparing to use Holtites for the first time on a new design. Are there particular issues or problems with them that has caused you to look at alternates? Any advice? Greg

Millmax made some custom surface mount parts for me to hold resistor leads. Millmax lends itself to more choices and materials. They will easily work with you to come up with the right part if they currently do not offer it. Please contact me if you need further information or background. Dave

I hope you get help sooner or later. I have a question for you: Have you looked at Teka (www.tekais.com)? Their product seems to be very similar to Millmax. TTYL Dave F
