X-Ray Tube/Controller Question | 2 January, 2004

I am hoping that someone can help with this. Am attempting to source "used"/refurb 130kv Hamamatsu x-ray tube and controller (for a CR Tech machine). Am having difficulties in locating a source. If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated

X-Ray Tube/Controller Question | 5 January, 2004

Hi,

Can you tell what model system this is for? Hamamatsu tubes are not easy to come by as a rule unless they are new. How much are you looking to spend? The new 130kV Hama tubes go for ~$25K. Are you sure that the controller and the tube are both bad? Sorry for all of the questions, but this information will help. I know I can get you other micro focus tubes at a discount and possibly used, but getting a Hama may be tough.

X-Ray Tube/Controller Question | 6 January, 2004

TL IPS: I am having problems replying to you directly. Here is the info on the X-ray machine in question. We definitely need to replace the tube and controller. We are not "hell bent" on a Hamamatsu replacement. If you have something else available (used/refurb), please advise. If poss., provide your e-mail address.

Photon Dynamics is out of the X-Ray business. Try Yestech. They have a number of former CRT and Photon people. Had a similar problem with a CRT 2000 one time. You have to replace both the tube and controller. If I remember correctly, they are matched, and must be treated as a pair. That makes it pretty pricey.
