Hi,

I am trying to locate a vendor for very low alpha count solder balls. Solder is 63Sn/37Pb or 62Sn/36Pb/2Ag.

Ball Specifications 63% tin / 37% lead solder (optional 2% silver in the form of 62/36/2 would be acceptable) 300 micron diameter (FCI stated they could use 300 +/- 50 micron) low alpha / ultra-low alpha emission material <0.02 counts per hour / sq-cm. Please, let me know where I can buy these balls or even bulk solder that I will have the balls made. Thanks,

Too bad you can't use no-lead. Mitsubishi Materials Corp makes very low alpha [spec'd at <0.02 cph/cm^2] solder balls in 63/37.

We have no relationship, nor receive benefit from the company referenced above.
