Servo Alarm on FUJI IP-2 (MTU unit) | 15 September, 2005

Hi,

this morning we got a "servo alarm MTU" on our FUJI IP-2. On a servopack, I see an " Over Current" error. what does it mean? I don't know hoe to check that. Can anyone help me?

Thanks a lot.

Over Current means the motor is drawling too much current. Check for a jam on that axis, bad wire, bad motor, bad servo amp (yes the amp can go bad and make it appear that the motor is drawling too much current).

If the end sensor is bad it will cause the axis to past it and travel against the end stop and cause an over current also. So it kind of depends on what the machine is trying to do.

Most likely servo amp is bad.
