Hello All,

I work for an aerospace OEM, and I am responsible for putting in the Counterfeit Protection Plan. I'm familiar with the requirements etc., and was wondering if anyone out there has already set one up. If so, did you send your staff out for training? I'm looking for recommendations on facilities or instructors. Possibly the forum can post issues various companies are running into.

The California Space authority is presenting this: Counterfeit Detection, Avoidance and Mitigation Executive Summary & Management Overview and Intensive Technical Hands-on Course Tuesday, December 15 & Wednesday, December 16, 2009

IDEA is also doing a class: IDEA-STD-1010: Acceptability of Electronic Components Distributed in the Open Market and the IDEA-SG-2020 Study Guide for Preparation for the IDEA-ICE-3000 Professional Inspector Certification Exam

I took the class in October and found it challenging & helpful.

Countefeit Protection Plan follow-up | 17 December, 2009

For those interested, SMTA is sponsoring a webtorial on Counterfeit Parts Jan 12 and 19, 2010. This should answer a lot of questions plus help educate Management, Team Leads, Purchasing and Engineering.
