Paste Height Interactive Control Chart | 31 May, 2012

Does anyone use an excel spreadsheet to monitor and show via a control chart their paste height check data and if so would they have a copy that I could use as a template? We have a spreadsheet that we use but print it off and fill the data in, I am looking at using an automated one and was wonderinf if something already exists?

I’ve used “QI Macros SPC Software for Excel [http://www.qimacros.com/excel-spc.html ]“ It is very easy to use.

Here's a step-by-step development of a run chart * http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/RunChtLines.html

People have recommended * Statistical Quality Control Using Excel (with software) Steven M. Zimmerman, Ph.D., and Marjorie L. Icenogle, Ph.D. ISBN 0-87389-393-X * SPC KISS software, which is marketed by Air Academy Associates in Colorado Springs. As inexpensive, fast, and very easy to learn and use. * “Using Excel for Data Analysis: Microsoft Excel's capabilities for analyzing data are limited only by your creativity” William Dorner, Quality Digest qualitydigest.com/magazine/1997/oct/article/using-excel-data-analysis.html

Here's a link to a previous thread on here on SMTnet that may add to the conversation http://www.smtnet.com/Forums/Index.cfm?CFApp=1&Message_ID=59578

Let us add to this by saying, we don't work for the company referenced above, don't own stock in the company referenced above, have never known anyone who works at the company referenced above and whether you buy a product from the company referenced above or not we don't get anything for writing this. We are not "fanboys" of the company referenced above, although we can give credit where credit is due and lately the company referenced above has deserved a lot of credit for some of their products.
