mpm up2000 z axis hardware limit | 3 October, 2019

Got a used mpm up2000. It gives z axis hardware limit warning when trying to teach vision. The board raises to camera then drops back down. However when loading a board for tooling, the board stays raised up. The z table can be manually raised up n down but when raised up to high it crashes back down. I dont have a manual and unable to access calibration. Any suggestions would be apppreciated as this is a new machine to me.

Contact George Castonguay at PPM. He is a Jedi when it comes to these machines.

In fact, since you just got it, a good investment would be to have George come in and go through the machine and get it calibrated.

They also sell parts and I always try to buy my machine parts through them, before trying to buy from the Manufacturer. Better prices and better support.

I don't work for PPM, but I am a fan of their technical support. In fact, we had purchased a printer from a REFURB Company and it had some issues upon arrival. I kept calling their tech support guy and he would say he was going to "look at the drawings and call me back". I later found out when I decided to talk to George about the issues, the guy I was calling was calling George to get answers, and then calling me back.
