CONTACT CS-400B ERROR | 13 April, 2023

Hi. Out of nowhere our contact machine has this cut and clinch error that we cannot seem to resolve. See attachment for error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't know the solution, but I have a CS-400C in great condition for sale. May be cheaper to replace than fix if something is broken. PM if interested.

Hi. Thank you for reaching out. See below for pictures. When you turn the machine on this is the position the cutters are in, the error comes up immediately. I am located in South Jersey.

When you turn the machine on, the cutters should both do a cut cycle. Do they? Or maybe just one?

No. they struggle to move a little but not a full cycle. We have replaced the 3 control boards on the back door, both EMI filters, check and replaced all fuses, pulled the clinch head and swapped it with another working clinch head and that blew a couple fuses so we put the original back in, replaced the clinch head motor and finally replaced the clinch side to side motor. So we have done all the above and still getting the error. We don't know much about this machine since it was built in 1985 so it's a learning curve for all involved.
