We are planning to purchase a new machine for automatic stencil cleaning. If anyone has experience using such equipment, what would you recommend? I appreciate any advice when choosing this equipment. Thank you in advance.

We don't own one, I'm a bit interested to see what you end up with. We do have a triden pcb wash, and I know Aqueous Technologes makes a lineup of misprint and stencil cleaners.

We had an engineer in from Zestron chemical company, and while they don't specifically endorse or work with any one cleaner company, they did have good things to say about Aqueous Technologies products.

Very satisfied customer of 2 Austin America Technology X30's. One is 11 years old and the other is 3 years old. We have them both setup as a closed loop systems, and the solution we use is "Kyzen E5615", 100% full strength. You can setup different profiles for stencils and PCB's. We just do Stencils in ours. Our first one we had some technical issues early on but there tech support was very helpful in resolving the problem. They also had the parts we needed in stock. Very easy to maintain as-well. Hope this help's in making you decision.

Automatic stencil cleaning system | 8 March, 2024

MiniSwash PBT user here - happy customer with a closed loop washing system. CC8 and DC8 filters used to filter rinse water (not sure if these are included for you, otherwise you may need to look for these too). 3 filters (10, 5, 1 um) to filter the washing liquid (Vigon 201 + DI water). Straightforward and fairly cheap maintenance. You will also need extraction set up. Not sure if these are legal requirements in your location, but in UK we must have extraction. 3 washing programs used constantly, one for stencil, one for misprint and one for PCB assemblies. Any questions regarding this system, let me know.

Even the simplest remark would satisfy me, like "we have such-and-such stencil washing machine, we've been using it for this many years, and whether we're satisfied with it or not." This would greatly help in choosing equipment. Once again, thank you in advance to everyone who will speak on this matter.

Hi Dima, A past job used a PSE 300 from KOLB for 10 years. With proper maintenance, no problems were found. DST InJet was used in another production. As far as I know, there were no problems either. DST also has an interesting option, such as measuring water purity by conductivity(μS/cm)

Dima, we just purchased an Aqueuous stencil washer. We already have a board washer from them and have been thoroughly impressed by their performance, also measures the resistance in the rinse water to confirm it meets the cleanliness standard you set. Their customer support is second to none on top of it. Highly recommended!
