1 Multitronics no longer sells the UFP 9000, UFP 6000, and like P&P equipment. Europlacer now sells and supports this equipment in the US and Europe (and maybe other places). 2 Multitronics now sells (and owns) Dynapert P&P equipment.
There was a thread in this this Spring sometime on SMTnet.
1 If you're buying used UFP 9000s and 6000s here in the US, be real clear who is providing support. I imagine that's all been sorted out, but it's not a bad thing to think about it. 2 Recognizing, counting, and inspecting balls on BGAs was not a strong suit, when I looked at these machines a year or so ago. 3 UFP 9000s and 6000s will never be confused with a speedy placement machine. 4 With this machine (and Mydata) the box feeder arrangement has the potential to lower your feeder cost, if everything works out ...
