Cheep huh, well you could buy a Liester (sp?) 2-5k, hot air wand will reflow and remove all parts you want, but only in the right hands. I would suggest looking ahead and estimate the number of parts that will be reworked, the cost of those parts, and the cost of the fabs. My experience has shown cheep up front will cost in the long run. A typical scenario will be if you don�t spend any (Quality) time setting up the process and then you build a lot of rework, now you have a bunch of rework and can�t afford the right equipment to rework it. Spend some time up-front in the justification area, then buy a machine that will rework the parts with the highest yield possible. A cheep rework machine will wind up costing more in scrap then a quality rework machine does. If you are going to rework BGA find a machine that will emulate the reflow process as close as possible.
