There are many brands of Reflow equipment in the market now. Mostly dominated by American brands. However, there are China made reflow ovens who also wants to taste the market.

If you are the buyer of reflow oven would you like China made or American made reflow oven?

I dont speek Chineese. When I need support I prefer dealing with people who speak my language. I like my job. The more jobs lost to over seas companies make job market here harder to find work. Thousands of parts go into reflow ovens. So we are not talking about just one company. We should keep as much at home as possable. USA all the way if given the option.

Well for us 'limeys' its more difficult holding on to a job in the OEM/CEM marketplace. There are very limited opportunities for moving to other jobs here, we too like the US are losing a 'hoard' of jobs to China,India and other cheaper climates.

Pride in British manufacturing is at an all time low, but still represents 60% of our Exports? go figure. Electronics Manufacturing (22%) in the Uk has been in a deline over the last few years with the knock on effects, i have been made redundant 4 times in the last 2 years and im sick of it.

Finally stopped working as a contractor and been here for 3 months and they are now talking of shutting it down, its about time i got out of this industry all together.
